Rules of Conduct
Just be nice, and people will be nice with you.
simple as that :-)
Just keep in mind that Cybertown is a "family friendly oriented chat".
Therefore, just act like you would do in a public place where there might be children
and friendly people :-)
This way, you are quite sure to follow the rules :)
Especially...
. No curse words
Since there are children in Cybertown, it makes sense to watch your language.
Be careful about some words that may appear correct to you but are better not to use
Like "hell", or "damn"...
Just do not use words you would not write to your old fashioned English Teacher ;-)
. No Capital Letters
Caps letters sound like yelling and therefore sound rude.
Thanks for not using "all caps sentences".
Instead of catching people's attention, you would have the opposite effect.
. No flooding
"Flooding" the chat is to Repeat useless lines of text or blank spaces over and over again
It's very disruptive in the chat, especially with the 3D voice that says what people type :)
When someone does not follow the rules
. You can "ignore" them
just right click their name in the names list
Then click "Ignore"
This way, what they type will not appear in your chat anymore.
. You can call Security
"Security" is the "Cybertown Police".
They are residents of Cybertown, their job is to help keeping the chat clean.
They have special tools that give them ability to remove someone from the chat
To call security:
- Click the "citizens on Line" link on top right.

- Scroll down to the bottom, you can see the "security alert" button.

- Click it, it allows you to send an Instant Message to Security
Security appreciate proofs to do their job better.
So it's good to take a "
screen shot" of the chat to have a proof of someone's misbehavior.

. Security Power
Of course Security warn people before removing them from chat.
Then they can:
. Gag (unable to type)
. Ban (unable to enter Cybertown)
The Banning policy is held by
C.E.R.B.
(Cybertown Equity Review Board)
